Editorial policy
Spirited Garden Review aims to publish clear, careful writing about gardens and gardening. We distinguish established information from opinion, explain uncertainty where it matters and correct errors openly.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against appropriate source material before publication and take care with plant names, descriptions and gardening terms. Where advice depends on conditions such as climate, soil, plant variety or season, we say so rather than presenting a general idea as universal. We do not promise results that depend on circumstances a reader cannot control.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Paid, sponsored or partner material is identified clearly as such and kept distinguishable from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not entitle a contributor or partner to present promotional claims as independent editorial judgment.
Corrections
If we find a meaningful error, we correct the relevant text and make the correction clear to readers. For a correction or question about accuracy, use the Contact page and identify the article and passage so we can review it.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are visual aids, not evidence of a plant, place or gardening result; captions or nearby text will identify AI-generated images where appropriate.
Attention is the gardener’s best tool
A closer look helps explain what a garden needs and what it can become. We favour patient observation over quick fixes.
